I had a really incredible conversation with Earl Sweatshirt before I took these images.

We spoke of his late father’s poetry, and I told him he immortalized his father through his style. We spoke of the future of the pan-African identity, as both of us are African on one side and African-American on the other. We spoke about how our fathers were both writers and I told him I was the greatest photographer of my generation.
